wikipedia and hairspray

    while searching through wikipedia, we were told to review a topic that you know alot about, and are familiar with. well, i decided what better topic to discuss than hairspray, i know alot about it i am an avid consumer, and one day whoo knows i might start my own line of hair care products.

      when you type in the word hairspray into the wikipedia archive, it is more about the broadway production, than the actual product. this was very surprising to me, although i can understand the new craze with the show and it being remade, i cant believe that with all the hair salons, and hair fanatics out there, there wasnt more info. hairspray was described in wikipedia as, “Hair spray (or hair lacquer) is a common household aqueous solution that is used to keep hair stiff or in a certain style. Weaker than hair gel, hair wax, or glue, it is sprayed to hold styles for a long period of time. Using a pump or aerosol spray nozzle it sprays evenly over the hair.” now although that is true, why wouldnt there be more on the origins, and the kinds of places, and the people that were the creators of this product that is one of the leading cosmetic products used in the world. wikipedia also went on to tell us how hairspray, can be easily washed out of your hair, and is also quite flammable. if i wanted to know the effects of hairspray i would have READ THE BACK OF THE BOTTLE. i was hoping to get more detail, and more of an insight look as to how it is made, and not just all the chemistry words that no one can understand. i was also hoping to get fun facts, on what is considered the best of the best, who is the best maker, and what kinds of people more commonly use the product.

     so in the end i have come to the conclusion that i am going to add my own knowledge and insight about hairspray, to wikipedia myself, as they say “if you want things done, you have to do it yourself!!!!!”
